Understanding CP+ Access Levels
CP+ provides the following levels of access:
- CP+ Admin
- Domain Owner
- Mailbox Owner
1. CP+ Admin
CP+ administration interface is accessible at http://cp_host_domain:10000/ with
login name admin and the CP+ server's root password.
From CP+ admin interface you are able to perform system administration tasks on
the CP+ box. Here you can create new domains
and define services available for each of them.
2. Domain Owner
Domains, or virtual servers, are added in
CP+ admin interface, along with domain owner's actual Unix user
who has rights to configure domain settings and resources provided for this domain by
CP+ admin.
Domain owner has 2 entries to CP+: as domain admin to
configure system services provided for this domain, and as user
to administer Unix user account settings.
Domain Admin
Domain owner's admin interface is accessible at http://cp_host_domain:10000/
with the Unix user's login and password.
Here, domain owner can configure system services available for this domain, and to
create and grant privileges for mailbox accounts.
Domain User
Domain owner's user interface is accessible at http://cp_host_domain:20000/
with the Unix user's login and password.
3. Mailbox Owner
Mailbox owner doesn't have Unix user account on the server and isn't provided with
administrative panel in CP+.
Mailbox owner granted with FTP access to the server
has own subdirectory in its
domain owner's user home directory and is able to perform
certain advanced tasks such as SSH access, etc.
Mailbox owner without FTP access can do nothing more than
changing password for POP3 access to the domain under which it is created
and creating mail forwards for its email address.
Mailbox User With FTP Access
Mailbox owner's interface is accessible at http://cp_host_domain:20000/
with the mailbox user's login and password.
Mailbox User Without FTP Access
Mailbox owner's interface is accessible at http://cp_host_domain:20000/
with the mailbox user's login and password.
