This document tells you how to add mail aliases to existing mailboxes under a domain owner.

There are two ways to create a mail alias under domain owner: from the Edit Mailbox page and from the Domain Owner home page.

To add a mail alias to an existing mailbox from the domain home page:

  1. Log in as domain owner at: http://cpplus_host_domain:10000/ by entering username and password.
  2. On the Home page, click the Mail Aliases icon.
  3. On the page that appears click Add an alias to this domain
  4. On the page that shows, fill the fllowing form:
    • Name: This field determines the part of the alias email address to the left of the @.
Select Mailbox option to enter a specific mailbox name.
Select All mailboxes to have the alias catch email send to any address at the domain which does not match any other user or alias.
    • Alias destinations: determine what happens to email sent to this alias. This table of fields determines what happens to email sent to this alias. If multiple destinations are entered, mail will be sent to all of them.
  5. Click Create.

Alternatively, alias can be created on the Edit Mailbox page by entering mail alias name in the Additional email addresses field. More in Creating Mailboxes.

To edit mail aliases, go to the mail aliases list and click the alias name. To apply changes, click Save.
