Mailboxes without FTP Access

This document tells you how to manage mailboxes without FTP access.

Mailboxes without FTP access are created when you leave the FTP login enabled option unchecked during mailbox creation. With this type of mailbox you can do as much as change password and create mail forwards.

To manage your mailbox without FTP, first of all log in as mailbox owner at: http://cpplus_host_domain:20000/ by entering POP3 login and password.

Changing Passwords.

To change password:

  1. On the Home page that appears, click the Change password icon.
  2. On the page that shows, enter all needful information about the new user:
    • Current password: enter password to this mailbox.
    • New Password and New Password again: double enter the new password to confirm change.
  3. Click Change now to save changes.

Creating Mail Forwards.

As an owner of a mailbox without FTP, you can also create mail forwards.

This module allows you to set forwarding for email sent to your account on this server.

To add a mail forward:

  1. On the mailbox owner Home page, click Mail Forwarding.
  2. On the page that appears, click Add a mail forwarding rule.
  3. Fill the form that shows:

    Enabled: click 'yes' to enable mail forwarding rule.
    Forward to: choose where you want mail to be forwared. Choosing to forward to 'Normal user mailbox' will direct all mail to your mailbox.
  4. Click Create.

You can create several mail forwarding rules.
