Restoring Websites

Websites created and managed in CP+ can be backed up and restored directly in CP+ interface.

  1. Log in to CP+ as admin.

  2. Check your CP+ version on the CP+ info bar on the left. If it is less than 1.10, upgrade CP+.

  3. On the Site Manager main page, you will see backup and restore buttons below the list of websites:

  4. Click Restore Backup to restore website content from the backup files. Fill out the form that appears:

    • Restore Source: - local .tar.gz archive file to restore one domain from the backup, e.g., /usr/local/cpplus/backup/domain.name.tar.gz
      - local backup directory if you restore all domains from the backup, e.g.: /usr/local/cpplus/backup/
      - FTP server backup location (you need to specify the FTP user name and password).
    • Features to Restore: check the features you need to be restored.
    • Press Show What Will Be Restored to see what websites and content will be restored:

      Choose websites to be restored and press Restore Now.
