CP+ User Access Rights

User access rights are configured through the form similar to the one below while creating a new user and can be edited for any existing user later.



  • Username: enter a new or change the existing alphanumeric combination that identifies user on logging into the sytem.
    * login length is restricted by the operational system of the CP+ servers
  • Member of group: choose or change the existing group for the user.
  • Password: choose
    • Set to.. to enter a new or change the existing alphanumeric combination that authenticates logging into the sytem.
      * Password length is restricted by the operational system of the CP+ servers.
    • Don't change to leave the existing password unchanged.
    • Unix authentication to enter a new or change the existing alphanumeric combination which will be encrypted and on the logging retrieved from the directory to the local machine to compare it with the password used. More about CP+ authentication.
    • No password accepted to allow user to log into CP+ with just a username.
  • Language: choose user CP+ interface language.
  • Ip access control: define if the user can log into CP+ from any/certain IP addresses or prohibit access from particular IPs.
  • Modules: check services to grant to the user in adition to those provided with the user group.
